Questions you should ask before you trust this
Yes on Windows 10 2004+ and macOSthe window is excluded from OS-level capture APIs (WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE / NSWindowSharingNone). Screen-share, screen-record and OBS all see what's behind UnseenX, not UnseenX itself. On Linux there's no equivalent API; a window-type hint filters most pickers but Wayland portals may still list it.
No. The window is excluded at the OS capture layer, so even when you share your entire screen, the captured frame is whatever was behind UnseenXnot a black square, not a blur. Verified with the same API that Zoom and Meet use to capture the screen.
That's between you and the company. UnseenX is a toollike a notebook, a teleprompter or a second monitor. We don't take a moral position. We do strongly advise checking the rules of any specific interview before relying on it.
Microphone only, by default. You can route system audio in via a loopback device (VB-Cable on Windows, BlackHole on macOS) to also transcribe the interviewer's voice. Audio is sent to OpenAI Whisper in 4-second chunks and dropped after transcription.
Out of the box: Claude Haiku 4.5 for deep reasoning, GPT-4o for balanced performance, or GPT-4o Mini for quick answers. You can BYO API key on the Premium and Hunter tiers costs pass through to your Anthropic / OpenAI account.
No. Audio and screenshots transit through the desktop app to the model provider you've chosen and are not persisted on our servers. The only thing we keep is your account email and billing status.
